Spread the love

On Married At First Sight, David Trimble turns to tequila after Michelle Tomblin basically tells him to leave her alone and shuts him out. Madison Myers can’t hide her cringe over Allen Slovick‘s quirky clothes. Karla Juarez entertains everyone with her theories on magic wands. And Emem Obot doesn’t want to be Ikechi Ojore‘s homie. Grab a lime and some salt and let’s raise a shot to the couples in this recap of Season 18, Episode 5 A Beach of a Honeymoon.

Married At First Sight: David Does Shots After Michelle’s Diss

On Married At First Sight David Trimble seeks solace from his fellow grooms and some tequila after things continue to go nowhere with his wife Michelle Tomblin. She doesn’t want him to even speak much less ask her questions. She tells him she needs some space and is furious when he suggests they go for a walk. He’s a little energized after a random run in with Madison Myers in the hotel gym. They hit the treadmill in tandem and vent on their frustrations with their matches.

David Trimble isn’t one to give up. But this only seems to irritate Michelle Tomblin. She tells him not to call or text her and that by “space” she means an entire day. He finally gets it after she accuses him of living in a fantasy world and interrupting her.  David says he needs space too. He lounges out by the pool as long as he can. And then retires to the room to sleep on the couch. The next day on a boat trip, Michelle whines to producers that she doesn’t even know if she wants to keep trying.

MAFS Cast Deals with Rain on Honeymoon

The Married At First Sight cast gets into various activities in Mexico. The weather mimics Michelle Tomblin’s mood. Rainy and hopeless. A few of the couples manage to make some strides forward. Madison Myers isn’t feeling Allen Slovick’s outfits. Particularly Allen’s mismatched fruit print shorts, plaid shirt and St. Patty’s Day colored glasses. Allen defends his style, claiming he’s confident in who he is and expressing himself.

Madison Myers suggests to Allen he’s kind of a pushover. On the couples boat ride, Allen Slovick amps things up on Married At First Sight. He puts a hand on Madison’s back and wants to move things along. But her body language says otherwise, and she admits she’s just not there yet. Karla Juarez and Juan Franco discuss spending over breakfast. Juan is much more conservative, claiming his expenses outweigh his ability to spend and splurge. Karla is more carefree about spending but appreciates his honesty.

On MAFS, Ikechi Ojore refers to Emem Obot as his homie during tequila tasting with the guys. He tells Emem he called her the term of endearment. But she’s not feeling it. She considers herself a wifey, not a homie. But they do share some emotional stories about their dads. So, all isn’t lost. Camille Parsons and Thomas McDonald are thoroughly enjoying the honeymoon and communicating well about each other’s needs and wants.

Married At First Sight: Karla Juarez Isn’t Shy to Speak Her Truths

Karla Juarez and Juan Franco seem to be enjoying each other’s company. Whether it’s capsizing a canoe or couple’s massage, their attraction seems to be growing. Karla isn’t shy about her feelings about intimacy. She has a theory she shares with the couples that the male member is really a magic wand. Nonetheless both partners need to be aware of the energy that the wand yields. Whether you are on the giving or receiving end.

So far on Married At First Sightthis season isn’t looking too bright. Other than Camille and Thomas, lack of a physical attraction and finances seem to be big issues. Not to mention David Trimble still sporting a tattoo of his ex on his chest. Michelle Tomblin isn’t a fan of this type of tribute. Next up the cast will head home to Chicago for the next phase of the process. Till next time!
