Things are moving quickly on the new Harry Potter series in the works at HBO Max, and one of the show’s biggest stars has finally addressed a part of the series drenched in controversy. Nick Frost was cast to play Hagrid in the upcoming Harry Potter show, a role which previously belonged to Robbie Coltrane and briefly Martin Bayfield. The creator of Harry Potter, J.K. Rowling, has been a vocal supporter of anti-trans propaganda and movements, even donating upwards of 70,000 euros to For Women Scotland, a group which is in the midst of a legal battle with the UK’s Supreme Court over whether biologically born males can legally become female.
