Arrival, which stars Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner, follows Louise Banks (Adams), a linguist who leads a team of investigators to communicate with an alien ship that randomly touched down. Arrival earned scores of 94% from critics and 82% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes, and it grossed $212 million at the box office against a $47 million budget.
