For the unversed, after separating from Mona, Boney fell for Sridevi, with whom he was blessed with Janhvi and Khushi.
Anshula Kapoor felt she was not good enough after Janhvi Kapoor came and blamed herself for her parents’ separation
Anshula sat down for an interview with Pinkvilla and revealed she could never find ‘sukoon’ as she had to undergo her parents’ battling separation against the entire world. She revealed that when the separation of her parents happened, it was public news, as opposed to something that one had to deal with privately. She and her family were dealing with a hundred thousand eyeballs of the world. For Anshula, the birth of her stepsister, Janhvi, kept her in guilt, and she took the blame on herself for Boney and Mona being separated. Anshula shared:
“I was about a little bit under 6 years old when that happened. I internalised it to be like ‘Oh my parents separated because something is wrong in me’. As a 6 year old I thought that before I came into their lives everything was hunky dory. I came into their lives, and now suddenly they do not belong together anymore. Maybe I was not a good enough daughter, and that became more apparent after Jaanu was born because I was like maybe something was wrong with me.”
