Minister of Roads and Building of Telangana, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, has now come forward and demanded the Pushpa 2: The Rule actor, Allu Arjun, to pay Rs. 20 crores to the family of the Pushpa 2: The Rule stampede victim. The Minister spoke to the press on December 22, 2024, and noted that Pushpa 2: The Rule has done phenomenal business at the box office. He added that the least Allu Arjun could do after the tragedy was to use Rs 20 crores from the film’s collection and help the family of the victim.
Komatireddy Venkat Reddy demands Allu Arjun to compensate Pushpa 2: The Rule stampede victim’s family
Komatireddy Venkat Reddy’s demands come at a time when Allu Arjun’s residence was recently vandalised by protestors seeking justice for the stampede victim. According to the reports by Gulte, Reddy has asked Allu Arjun to compensate the victim’s family with Rs. 20 crores. He was quoted as:
“Allu Arjun was asked not to come to the theatre, but he did anyway. His open-top car show drove huge crowds, which resulted in the death of a mother named Revathi while her son was battling for his life. When the police intimated with Allu Arjun about this, he still insisted on watching the film. This is purely an act of ignorance and negligence. They are proudly saying that their film collected Rs. 2000 crore and 3000 crore. In that case, why can’t they pay the family of the deceased at least Rs. 20 crore? This is my demand to Arjun and the makers of that film to pay the family Rs. 20 crore.”
