

Indian cinema has portrayed women in different roles, and many Bollywood actresses have forayed into method acting. These actresses have been struggling hard to make a name for themselves. However, some have awestruck viewers with their immense talent, and one of them is Tillotama Shome.
Known for her versatility, Tillotama joined Arvind Gaur’s Asmita theatre group after graduating from Lady Shri Ram college, Delhi University. She did her Masters in educational theatre at New York University. In 2001, Tillotama made her acting debut in Mira Nair’s Monsoon Wedding, where she played a supporting role. With films like Gangor, Shanghai, Tasher Desh, Children of War, Sir, Angrezi Medium and many others, Tillotama showed versatility.
