Reflecting on his journey, Aamir shared, “I’ve got about one-third of my life left at best, if I’m lucky and make it to 90. My attitude is different now. The reason I decided to work harder is because I felt like I need to create a platform. I want to make use of what I’ve earned in these 30 years, and support the new talent that’s coming up. I might move on, but I want to help out the kind of talent that believes in stories and characters like I do.”
Anyone Can Do An Action Film, But I Want To Bring Unusual Stories To The Table – Aamir Khan
For Aamir, cinema has never been just about entertainment; it’s about creativity, substance, and storytelling. “I believe in creativity and I want to support that kind of talent. I want to produce films that have great stories, great performances, and great writing, and that feature unusual narratives. Look, anyone can make an action film, but bringing an unusual story to the table isn’t something just anyone can do. I want to showcase that talent that I appreciate. That’s why I want to produce more films—it’s the only reason I want to produce more films, so I can throw more talent into the industry.”

I Want To Give Opportunities To Young People, Says Aamir Khan
While Aamir remains committed to acting, he acknowledges the limitations of being able to work on only one film at a time. To expand his reach and support more emerging talent, he has taken a significant step by bringing in Aparna Purohit to head his production house, Aamir Khan Productions.
“As an actor, I can only do one film at a time. That’s why I’ve hired Aparna Purohit, who’s now heading AKP. She’s amazing and will be the one producing more films and taking the company forward. I want to give opportunities to young people. I think filmmaking is a beautiful thing; it’s a wonderful world. I have to say, in my journey through this beautiful world, I’ve learned a lot and had so much to share.”
