Breast cancer relapse is also known as breast cancer recurrence, which is a state when cancer returns after the treatment is done. It takes a few months or years to come back. While it’s relatively uncommon, it solely depends on several factors. Breast cancer recurrence is of three types. The first is local, which means the cancer returns to the same place where it first appeared, the second is regional, which means the cancer comes back in the near area, and the last one is distant, where cancer spreads away from where it originally happened.
