Former ISRO chief Dr K. Kasturirangan passed away in Bengaluru, India, at the age of 84. He is the man behind India’s first moon mission, and it was his leadership which shaped India’s bright future in space. For those who don’t know, Dr K Kasturirangan was born on October 24, 1940, in Ernakulam. He is an awardee of the Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Vibhushan for his outstanding work. 

Dr K Kasturirangan passed away in Bengaluru

Former Indian Space Research Organisation chairman, K Kasturirangan took his last breath in his Bengaluru residence on April 25, 2025. According to a statement by ISRO, Kasturirangan passed away at 10:43 a.m. His parthiv sharir‘s antim darshan will be held on April 27, 2025, between 10 a.m. and noon for the public to pay their respect.
