The Pitt is my favorite new medical drama in recent years, but the show may have also ruined all other TV series in the genre for me going forward. There have been a multitude of new medical dramas that have aired on various networks over the last few years, from Fox’s 2025 series Doc to CBS’ Sherlock Holmes-inspired take, Watson. However, Max’s latest drama has become a standout, quickly rivaling even some of the best medical dramas of all time. The show’s unique, hour-by-hour premise is just one of many draws the streaming series has.
