As India continues to defend itself at the International border along the Line Of Control (LOC) in the north west frontier of India, people are able to sleep peacefully. This all is possible due to bravery and dedication of Indian soldiers who continue the guard nation with strength and sacrifice. While everyone acknowledges the contribution of the men and women in uniform, it’s heartening to see their families, especially kids, carry the same discipline, patriotism and strength. Several Bollywood celebrities who were born to soldier parents have shared their experiences about the same, and one such celebrity is Rakul Preet Singh. Here’s what she said.

Rakul Preet Singh recalled her childhood in an army background

Rakul Preet Singh is a prominent actress in Bollywood who is known for her versatility and on-screen charm. Her father, Kulwinder Singh, served in the Indian army, and the actress has often mentioned how being brought up in an army household developed her fearless and grounded personality. Recently, an old video from Rakul’s conversation with Raj Shamani surfaced online, where she was asked about how her upbringing in an army household was different from other kids. In her reply, Rakul explained:

“Aapko strong banaya jata hai. Dear nahi lag sakta, you have to go and try. You can’t say no like hume yeh allowed nahi tha kehna ki yeh nahi khana hai, kyu? Kyuki accha nahi hai, bolenge nahi try karo, phir opinion banao samjhaya jaata hai.”
