For the unversed, on May 11, 2025, Raja started a new chapter in his life with his wife, Sonam Raghuvanshi. However, their honeymoon trip has become a deadly encounter. After a massive search operation, Meghalaya police claimed that Raja was murdered by 3 hired killers, and the murder plotting was done by his wife, Sonam. A video of Sonam Raghuvanshi surfaced online, when she was initially captivated by the Meghalaya police in connection to her husband, Raja’s murder. In the video, Sonam was seen wearing a black t-shirt and black track pants and was sitting on a chair. While the police interrogated her, she remained silent. At the same time, according to a report by CNN News18 report, Sonam gave her first statement in connection to Raja’s murder case. She claimed that she is not the accused, but a victim in the murder case. Sonam stated that she was abducted. In her words:
“I was abducted, abandoned in Ghazipur.”
