Divya Dutta, one of the iconic actresses of Bollywood, is known for playing supporting roles with so much love and feelings that they become larger than the main character. Whether it was her role as ‘Shabbo’ in Veer Zaara, or as the sister of Milkha Singh in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. Apart from leaving a mark in Bollywood, Divya’s personal life has been a rollercoaster. She had a broken engagement, and at the age of 47, she preferred staying single than being in an ugly marriage.
Divya Dutta revealed the reason for not marrying at the age of 47
During an interview with Hindi Rush, Divya Dutta talked about her views on marriage and stated that if you find a good partner, then the marriage is great. If you don’t find one, then also life is beautiful. She shared the importance of nurturing yourself rather than staying in a dysfunctional marriage. She said:
“If you find a good partner, it’s great to be married. If not, life moves on beautifully. It’s better to nurture yourself than stay in a dysfunctional marriage. Rather than lowering yourself in a relationship, it’s better to love yourself. There’s a lot of male attention coming my way and I enjoy that, but a relationship should happen when you connect. You feel that the person can hold your hand. If that isn’t there, I have many lovely friends around me, and I am there for myself.”
