

The Air India plane crash that took more than 265 lives has left the nation at a lack of words. It has shocked people in India and abroad to the core, with only pain and anguish left to feel. It might seem like a massive number of people died, but in reality, there were families which have been torn apart within a few minutes when the horrific tragedy occurred. Among those victims there were stories of hopes and dreams which now remain incomplete. One such story belongs to Ranjitha Gopakumar, a Kerala-based woman who worked as a nurse in the UK and was planning to come back and start a new life in India.

Ranjitha Gopakumar, who lived in the UK, had recently returned to India to start a new life in her home country. She had been working abroad for years to fulfil her dream of giving a better life to her mother and kids. After working in the UK, she earned and planned to start a new life in India and came to finalise the construction of her new home in her hometown, Pullad.
