In a recent conversation, Madhu revealed some unknown facts about their initial struggles after coming to Mumbai. She also revealed that during the tough phase, she kept Priyanka’s career as her topmost priority, which made her neglect her son, Siddharth.

Madhu Chopra recalls the initial days of struggle when they came to Mumbai

In a recent conversation with Debina Bonnerjee on her YouTube show, Priyanka’s mom, Madhu Chopra recalled the struggles that she and her family had to face when they came to Mumbai. For the unversed, Priyanka’s mom is a gynaecologist and a cosmetologist, and her late father was also a doctor. The couple also served in the Indian Army as doctors. Madhu talked about the time when the family relocated to Mumbai one by one as they needed to fund Priyanka’s stay in Mumbai. For the unversed, Priyanka’s dad, Dr. Ashok Chopra, died in 2013 after fighting cancer for a long time. Recalling the tough times, Madhu said:

“It was a big decision for us to relocate for Priyanka to Mumbai. We had to do it one by one, it took time. First, her father came with her and I stayed back and kept working because we had to fund her stay here. Then after my husband got a job at Lilavati Hospital, I came here.”
