As the dust settles from Sister Wives Season 19, Janelle Brown‘s shocking reveal indicates Kody Brown‘s recent disturbing accusations about her hold some truth. During this last season, the layers peeled back on all the spouses who once made up a plural family.
Fans learned that some of what they believed for years while watching the TLC series was untrue. They also discovered there was much more to the Sister Wives spouses’ personalities than they ever imagined.
Sister Wives: Kody Brown Goes On a Rant About Janelle Brown
Sister Wives fans were used to Kody Brown praising himself as a great husband on the TLC series. He seemed to think he was a victim of his wives. But when it came to Janelle Brown, Kody felt she used him for one thing.
Kody went on a rant about Janelle. This rant was his reason for not trying to save his marriage with Janelle when Robyn Brown pushed him to do so. His spiel included what Janelle Brown wanted from him. And… he was tired of it.
The Sister Wives patriarch indicated that Janelle used him for his body. Kody said, “So Janelle’s not in love with me. I think she thinks I’m hot. I’ve got nice pecs and great six-pack abs. But that’s all she’s interested in.”
Massive Backlash for Kody’s Inflated Ego
The Sister Wives viewers watched the clip in which Kody Brown portrayed himself as a boy toy for Janelle Brown. Then the fans threw everything but the kitchen sink at Kody for his inflated ego.
Since the Sister Wives series first came to the screen, we were told that Janelle and Kody shared more of a cerebral connection than a romantic one. In fact, Meri Brown said this made it much easier for her when Janelle entered the family as his second wife.
Meri considered herself a romantic wife and very affectionate with Kody. But, because Janelle was more like a buddy to Kody, Meri’s jealousy was at a minimum. So, this is how Janelle was portrayed to the fans of the show. She was like one of his guy friends as far as Kody was concerned.
Sister Wives: Janelle Sheds Her Buddy Theme
As Sister Wives Season 19 progressed, we learned Janelle Brown was missing Kody in her bed. She said this herself, so it is not a rumor. Then when Suki questioned Janelle Brown in those One-on-One segments, what Janelle said stunned the fans.
Janelle confessed to Suki, “Everybody has this idea just because I didn’t want to have assembly line kisses with Kody or whatever, that I was asexual.” Janelle said this about her plural marriage. She then added, “I promise you. I’m not asexual. I promise you.”
She even went a bit farther by throwing out how frustrating it could be without a man around. This is how she explained it: “The hormones are hell when you’re single, but you know, it’s like you just deal with it or whatever.”
So, while Kody made a very cruel delivery on Sister Wives when first accusing Janelle of only wanting his body, it looks like there was some truth in what he said. Since splitting with Kody, Janelle’s theme surrounding her split seemed to focus on only missing Kody in her bed.
But toward the end of their marriage, Kody wasn’t doing much for Janelle as his wife in any other department. Fans point out he wasn’t being the father he once was. And Janelle was pretty much on her own. So, if she could grab a little bit of pleasure now and then, many viewers of the TLC series suggest that Kody owed her at least that much.
