Come to think of it, director Wes Craven‘s Red Eye was a Netflix thriller before such a thing even existed. Of course, it was directed with more style than most genre films that the streamer produces these days, barring a few exceptions. Two decades after its release, Red Eyeis climbing up the viewership charts on Netflix in the United States, having finished eighth on July 2 according to FlixPatrol. The movie beat out two other fan-favorites, The Hitman’s Bodyguard, starring Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson, and The Intern, starring Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro.
