Ram Kapoor is a well-known name in the television industry that has been entertaining audiences for more than two decades now. Whether it was Kasamh Se or Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, the actor dominated the small screen with his presence but never fell into a single controversy until recently he was accused of making ‘inappropriate comments’ on the team members of his newly released web series, Mistry. But, rather than shying away from the stir, Ram came forward to accept his mistake and promised to apologise to anyone who was affected by it. Now, in an interview, the actor opened up about how he, his family and staff dealt with his first-ever controversy in 25 years.
Ram Kapoor admits he was ‘nervous’ after he got embroiled in a controversy
Ram Kapoor was busy with the promotions of his web series, Mistry, when he was accused of making s***ally ‘inappropriate remarks’ towards the show’s team members. He was subsequently removed from all its promotional activities. Despite the stir, the series opened to positive reviews and Ram’s performance was widely appreciated. Amid all this, Ram, who still got to play his dream character in the series, sat down for an interview with Zoom and expressed his happiness at the success of his web series. He admitted that despite not being someone who easily gets nervous, the recent controversy kept him on his toes. However, he is delighted that the audiences did not keep any bias towards the show due to his actions. In his words:
“I am literally the happiest man in the whole country right now. I was so nervous and so scared because of all the controversy and everything. I’m not the kind of person who gets nervous. I’m always a positive person. This time, I was very nervous. The fact that nobody has allowed all this to matter to the show is something that I will forever be thankful for.”
