On July 4, 2025, a massive fire broke out at the Vishal Mega Mart in Karol Bagh, Delhi. It was in the departmental store where the fire spread. According to police, the rescue team is currently working, while the investigators are probing every angle to determine the reason for the fire breakout. Two of the floors are still filled with thick smoke, which has caused a delay in the investigation. Reportedly, a 25-year-old man died in the fire breakout, while, as per the most recent report, two bodies were retrieved.
A 25-year-old man lost his life while being stuck in a lift in the Karol Bagh Vishal Mega Mart fire
If the reports are to be believed, a 25-year-old man was trapped inside a lift, when the fire broke out. However, he couldn’t survive till the end. When his body was found, he was found in an unconscious state and was rushed to the hospital, but he was declared dead on arrival. Before he died, he reportedly sent a text to his brother. A screenshot was shared online, wherein the deceased, Kumar Dhirendra Pratap Singh was seen telling his brother that they were all stuck in the lift of Karol Bagh Mega Mart. He asked his brother to save him while stating that he couldn’t breathe smoothly, as it was suffocating. His message could be read as:
“Bhaiya hum lift me gas gaye hai Karol Bagh mega mart. Aur saans fullrha hai kuch kro.”
