Banita and Vicky shared screen space in the critically acclaimed film Sardar Udham. Though her role was brief, Banita had a front-row seat to witness Vicky’s incredible transformation on set. And from the way she talks about it, it sounds like an unforgettable experience.
Talking about her first day on set, Banita recalled a moment that truly caught her off guard.

“He’s a true master of his craft. I remember when I first showed up on the Udham set—I just came by to say hi since I’d just gotten there—and I thought, let me go greet the team. I was sitting behind the monitor, and there was this shot of a young Punjabi boy running around. I turned to Ronnie and said, ‘Who’s this new actor? He’s really good.’ He looked at me and said, ‘Banita, that’s Vicky.’ I was like, ‘What?’”
She genuinely couldn’t believe her eyes. That’s how immersed Vicky was in the character. His performance had completely transformed him.

Banita went on to talk about how casually Vicky handled the intense scenes he was shooting. You’d think an actor filming such heavy material would be emotionally drained, but Vicky? Total calm and kindness.
“Then they cut, and Vicky came over, and he was like, ‘Hey, how was your flight?’—super casually. Keep in mind, he’s filming the aftermath—that’s intense stuff. And then he’s like, ‘How was your flight? Want a cup of tea? Everything good?’ And I was like, ‘Wow.’ The talent that guy has is unreal. I just loved watching him on the monitor as much as I could. I felt so lucky to have access to all of that.”

Banita was clearly in awe, not just of Vicky’s acting skills, but also his grounded personality. She wrapped up her thoughts with a heartfelt note of admiration.
“He was a true gentleman, a real professional, a genuine actor. Honestly, working with him was an incredible experience. Amazing co-actor.”
