EXCLUSIVE: “Not Seeking To Make Friends At Work” – Nimrat Kaur

When asked if she’s formed friendships in the industry, Nimrat replied honestly, “No. I’ve actually never tried to make friends.”
For her, relationships that bloom at work can feel circumstantial. Unless the bond happens naturally, she prefers to keep things professional.
“You click or you don’t. But you always have this thing in the back of your mind that this isn’t a friend I chose out of life randomly. This is a project that brought us together,” she said.
“I’m actually not seeking to make friends at a workplace“ she added.
Nimrat isn’t cold or standoffish, though. She values warmth on set and enjoys connecting with people, but doesn’t feel the need to turn those connections into deep friendships. She loves a cheerful set environment and appreciates good energy at work. But her main focus remains the job itself.

“Shouldn’t Feel Like, ‘Ugh, I Have To See This Person Again On Set Tomorrow,’” Said Nimrat Kaur
“When I go to work, I just want an environment where my work, the other person’s work, everybody’s work – can shine,” she said.
For Nimrat, it’s all about enjoying the process without the emotional clutter. “At the end of the day, it shouldn’t feel like, ‘Ugh, I have to see this person again on set tomorrow.’ That shouldn’t happen.”
