The Indian Army is bravely tackling the missile and drone attacks by Pakistan near the northwest frontier of the country. It all started with the Pahalgam attack and subsequent Operation Sindoor conducted to bring justice to the deceased. Amid these tense situations, the people of the country are able to sleep in peace because our brave soldiers are awake to guard the borders without worry for their lives. In addition, their families have made silent sacrifices to protect the pride of India. In a recent post, actress Celina Jaitly, who herself hails from an army background, recalled the significant lesson shared by her late father, a 1971 Indo-Pakistan war veteran.

Celina Jaitly requests everyone to respect soldiers and their sacrifice

Celina Jaitly recently took to her Instagram handle and shared a throwback picture of her late father, Colonel Vikram Kumar Jaitly who was referred to as ‘Tiger’ by his troops. The actress shared that she had a dream about her late father, who was a part of the 1971 war, where he was wounded by bullets at the mere age of 21. Unlike many others, her father was fortunate to live and honour the country for a few more years. In her words:

“Last night, I dreamed of my late father. Col Vikram Kumar Jaitly (SM) was lovingly called TIGER by the troops he commanded and served with. A warrior and veteran of the 1971 war, wounded at just 21, bullets mangled his leg, shrapnel carved through his flesh but never touched his courage. He lived on to lead, to serve, to roar. A true son of the soil.”
